"Wheat Fields"
PATTERN PERSPECTIVE: This pattern design was inspired by the idea of simple wheat flakes spread out over a hayfield of grass. Adding in a few dark spots as patches of grass within this abstract prairie landscape. This design reminds me of the vast fields of the Alberta prairies. I made this design to reflect the comfort I feel at home in this province. I created this design with the intent of gearing towards bedding products including duvet covers, pillow cases, decorative pillows, and bedding sheets.
"Cabin Boardgames"
PATTERN PERSPECTIVE: This pattern design was inspired by the idea of a forest cabin filled with boardgames, chess, and a checkerboard. I made this design to reflect the cozy atmosphere of playing family boardgames at a cabin. Taking in the comforting surroundings when playing a family game, with the addition of warm drinks and tasty snacks. I created this design with the intent of gearing towards kitchen products including tea towels, placemats, kitchen towels, and napkins.
"Bumblebee Champagne"
PATTERN PERSPECTIVE: This pattern design was inspired by the idea of bumble bees flying about in the July summer time. The idea is to bring to life the dance of the bees that communicates to other bees in a hive where the nectar is. This design reminds me of the cute and fat bumble bees that flutter about the hot July summers. I made this design to reflect the comfort I feel during July, especially time spent at my parent's secluded cabin. Being submerged in the forest, bees, birds, and deer are free to roam about the stunning property. I created this design with the intent of gearing towards kitchen products including tea towels, place-mats, kitchen towels, and napkins. As well as decorative wallpaper, gift wrapping, and other stationary paper products.
"Synth Mathematics"
PATTERN PERSPECTIVE: This pattern design was inspired by the feeling I get when I listen to Coldplay’s ‘X&Y’ album. In the song ‘White Shadows’, I envision the music as operating on a grid system. This design reminds me of how beautifully complicated but unified mathematics and music can be. I made this design to reflect the comfort I feel when listening to music I am familiar with. I created this design with the intent of gearing towards both kitchen products and bathroom products including bath towels, shower curtains and bathroom rugs or mats.
